A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our company Holland Horticulture who are the largest horticulture retailer in the North West. We are a dynamic and expanding company looking to recruit a part-time mail order assistant for our website hollandhorticulture.co.uk.
We are looking for a highly enthusiastic team player to operate our mail order department.
Experience:
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer literate
- Customer service
- Numerate and literate (GCSE pass or equivalent in Maths and English)
- The ability to organise work in an effective and efficient manner
- Experience of processing web orders
- Great team players who can also work under their own initiative.
The Role
- Retrieve and process orders in a timely manner to include creating the order, packing the order and arranging delivery.
- Deal with customer queries via telephone and email promptly
- Process orders through the till accurately
- Booking orders from other stores
- Arranging returns for customers
- Liaising with the Ecommerce executive to ensure all orders have been processed
- Assist in weekly/ annual stocktakes
- Comply with Health & Safety at work act
- Housekeeping
- The role also includes heavy lifting at times.
Working hours:
This position is for 20 hours per week, Monday – Friday 10am – 2pm
Salary:
£6.83 - £9.50 per hour

Retail Sales Assistant - Burnley
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our company Holland Horticulture who are the largest horticulture retailer in the North West. We are a dynamic and expanding company looking to recruit a full time horticultural retail sales assistant for our Huddersfield store. We require a highly enthusiastic team player to support and assist the existing sales team in all aspects of day-to-day store life.
We are looking for
- Retail experience
- Sales and customer service focus
- Horticultural knowledge (not essential)
- Great team players who can also work under their own initiative
- An understanding of horticulture would be preferred but not essential as training will be provided
The Role
- This position is for 32 hours per week (4 out of 7 days), there will be times when more hours are needed, so flexibility in working hours is essential.
- Main duties include: Checking and putting away deliveries, serving customers, stock taking, cash handling, ensuring displays are well maintained and fully stocked, and ensuring a clean and safe working environment is kept at all times.
- From time to time you may be required to work at one of our other stores.
- The role also includes heavy lifting at times.
- Uniform will be provided
Opening hours:
Monday to Saturday 10:00 - 18.00, Sunday 11:00 - 16:00.
